NCEO International Women & Girls in Science Day Film Evening
Come join us at the Attenborough Arts Centre on Wednesday 7th Feb at 4:00pm for an inspiring event celebrating Women & Girls in Science.
During the evening, we will be screening the captivating Hidden Figures (2016) that showcases the groundbreaking work of female scientists along with a few documentaries from the International Science Council. From uncovering the mysteries of the universe to finding innovative solutions for global challenges, these films will leave you in awe of the incredible contributions made by women & girls in science.

4:00 – 4:20 pm – Drinks and Networking
4:20 – 4:35 pm – Introduction to the evening
4:40 – 5:10 pm – Short movies (Battling Bias in AI, Preserving Ecuador’s aquatic ecosystems & TBC…)
5:10 – 5:30 pm – Brief discussions on the themes of the short films
5:30 – 5:45 pm – Break & refills
5:45 – 8:00 pm – Main movie – Hidden Figures (2016)
8:00 – 8:30 pm – Discussion and close
This event is open to the staff and students of NCEO, SPL & the University of Leicester. Join us for this free evening of empowerment and inspiration. There will be popcorn and light refreshments available! 🙂
