| ‘The National Centre for Earth Observation (NCEO) is a distributed research organisation which provides the UK with national capability in Earth Observation Science. We recognise that our environmental contribution extends beyond our scientific output and that our operations can impact the environment, therefore we are committed to reducing our environmental impact through our environmental action plan.
We will prioritise reducing the emissions from our research and computing activities, including reducing non-renewable energy usage within projects, as well as promoting sustainable working practices across our Centre, with a focus on reducing our business travel. All emission reductions are relative to our 2018/19 baseline values.’ |
