NERC Tech Forum 2026

The NERC Tech Forum will be held Tuesday 2nd June – Thursday 4th June at Plymouth Marine Laboratory.
This is the third year the conference has been run in the current format, following a long hiatus. The event is aimed at Research Technical Professionals (RTPs) and similar roles working within technology areas in NERC and related research centres.
The aim of this event, through a mixture of talks and discussion, is to provide an opportunity for RTPs to network with others to share knowledge and form future collaborations.
The event focuses on the broad range of technologies used to enable NERC science.

They are looking for presentations on the following topics:
- Lab based instrumentation
- Field instrumentation (including remote sensing)
- Electrical and Mechanical Engineering
- Research Software Engineering
- Bespoke solutions
- Autonomy
- Career progression, training and networking
- Commercialisation of NERC technologies
