Research interests

I am interested in interactions between the surface (in particular soil moisture), storms and their associated hazards (e.g. lightning). I work with satellite / in-situ data and high resolution simulation data to characterise, and assess model representation of, land-atmosphere coupling with the aim of informing model development and hence improving forecasts.
