Our Community
National and International Partnerships
Community support is a critical element of NCEO activity. NCEO is committed to supporting UK and international colleagues to make the most of increasingly impactful observations from satellites in space. Researchers, industry and public services can make use of high quality imagery and more physical measures such as temperatures, gas concentrations and forest carbon (biomass).
NCEO works very closely with interested UK organisations through strategic workshops, co-organisation of national EO conferences, networks and business clubs, provision of data and instrument facilities, training and collaborative projects. This includes business and operational and research establishments such as the Met Office, the National Physical Laboratory and the Ordnance Survey. We work particularly closely with the Department for Science, Innovation and Technology and the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs.
Our Values and Social Responsibility
We are committed to promoting responsible research and innovation practices in step with NERC and its parent body United Kingdom Research and Innovation (UKRI). NCEO staff are expected to be responsible and accountable.
NCEO are dedicated to promoting social responsibility across all NCEO locations and all areas of our research and operations.
